A 36-YEAR-OLD man has been remanded in custody without applying for bail over the disappearance of Leopold’s Paul Kingsbury.
The Indented Head man faces seven charges: one of kidnapping, three of false imprisonment, two of threatening to inflict serious injury and one of threatening to kill.
He was remanded in Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
A legal order prevented the Independent from publishing his name.
Homicide squad detectives arrested the man at Portarlington on Tuesday.
Mr Kingsbury, disappeared in suspicious circumstances earlier in the month.
He was last seen at a Moolap address on 6 July.
The Indented Head man is scheduled to reappear in Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 12 December.
