New “branding” will help businesses in the region’s smallest municipality attract visitors, according to tourism bodies.
Bellarine Tourism has announced it will launch the “exciting” new branding for Borough of Queenscliffe on August 20.
The branding will provide a corporate image for marketing Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale.
Borough chief executive officer Lenny Jenner said the branding was developed with input from businesses during workshops in the municipality.
“It is intended for all local businesses to be able to use this brand to promote their businesses and the unique identity of Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale,” he said.
Incoming Bellarine Tourism president Hugo T Armstrong said the branding launch would run in conjunction with a networking function at Fort Queenscliff.
He said the evening would be a “prime opportunity” for tourism businesses on the Bellarine Peninsula to get to know each other.
Mr Armstrong was also excited about the “real coup” of obtaining permission to run the function in the “usually out-of-bounds” fort.
