A young Ocean Grove woman has died after a skin cancer battle.
Twenty-six-year-old Hailey Begg died on Sunday surrounded by family members.
Doctors diagnosed Ms Begg with skin cancer in March, telling her she had only three months to live.
The community rallied behind Ms Begg, her husband Daniel, whom she married six months ago, and mother and father John and Terri Begg.
Tributes flowed for the young woman on social networking site Facebook this week.
Former colleague at Utopia Hair Rebecca Miller said Ms Begg would be remembered for her warm, friendly nature.
“She was very caring and a good friend to everyone. She always had that big smile on her face and that’s how she’ll be remembered.”
Ms Miller praised Ms Begg’s “extremely positive” attitude throughout her ordeal.
Friends and family will farewell Ms Begg at Charles Crawford and Sons Funeral Home Newcomb at 1pm Friday.
