GEELONG Regional Library now does home deliveries.
The organisation has started runs to housebound customers and their carers as part of a new service launched this week.
The service, run in partnership with welfare agency Do Care, uses a van to deliver library products and programs to homes, neighborhood centres, aged care facilities, community centres, clubs and other groups.
A library service spokesperson said the van would visit communities with a small browsing collection of books, CDs and DVDs as well as delivering requested products and accepting returns.
The service would start next month, the spokesperson said.
