Children from refugee families in Geelong will experience a good old fashioned Aussie holiday thanks to an $8000 grant from Geelong Community Foundation.
The foundation grant allows 40 children from refugee families to be sponsored for a five-day summer adventure camp at Lions Village Licola in January.
Camp organiser Brian Edward said children of diverse race, languages, cultures and religions will be integrated and accommodated with at least 70 other deserving children.
The children are nominated by Glastonbury Community Services, Wombats Wish, Wathaurong Aborigine Cooperative and primary schools in Geelong’s northern suburbs.
They’re all going on an Aussie holiday
