GEELONG’S Ferrari-driving mayor will race his sports car on the city’s waterfront during an annual celebration of classic vehicles.
Darryn Lyons will be among hundreds of participants in Geelong Revival Motoring Festival from November 28 to 30.
The event has an emphasis on vintage vehicles but will also feature contemporary cars, such as Cr Lyons’ Ferrari and his Lamborghini, which previously belonged to singer Rod Stewart.
The festival includes quarter-mile sprints on separate days for contemporary and vintage cars.
