Wanted over Corio hit-run fatal

POLICE have released an image of a man they wish to speak to following a fatal hit-run in Corio earlier this month.

Homicide Squad detectives are keen to speak to 21-year-old Mark Sheen who is believed to frequent the Geelong and Corio areas.

Sheen is described as Caucasian in appearance, 162cm tall with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes.

They have released an image in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.

They are also appealing for Sheen to come forward and contact police himself.

A 65-year-old Corio man, Gary Faull, died after he was struck by a motorcycle rider outside his Howitt Avenue home around 5.10pm on Saturday, 4 April.

The victim was taken to The Alfred hospital where he later died on Tuesday, 14 April.

The rider left the scene and his motorcycle was subsequently seized by police.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and police urge anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of Mark Sheen to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
