Mad hatters, white rabbits and upside-down cakes turned Multicultural Aged Care Services into fantasy land for a day this week.
The MACS Mad Hatter’s Tea Party had residents and staff dressing up as Alice in Wonderland characters.
MACS chief Joy Leggo said residents of Bella Chara independent living apartments had been busy organising outfits and making their hats for several weeks.
“No one was late for this very important date, I’m pleased to say, and no one lost their head, either.
“The Mad Hatters tea party was a way we could foster a connection between the family and community.
“It was an opportunity for residents, family, staff and friends to share a laugh to build and maintain a bond among the MACS community.”
The day concluded with a cup and saucer pot plant raffle and a screening of the Alice in Wonderland movie.
