Stolen car involved in fatal collision

A 35-year-old New Zealand woman, Pamela Clark, died in a two-car collision at Wallington Sunday, while the other driver recovered in hospital this week.
Police said a Holden utility was travelling north along Grubb Road when it collided head-on with Ms Clark’s Honda sedan, at the Cerberus Drive intersection about 12.25am.
She died at the scene as paramedics airlifted the driver of the Holden, an 18-year-old Ocean Grove man, to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the Holden was stolen and involved in minor collision at the intersection of Shell Road just moments before the crash.
The man’s condition had improved from critical to stable, a Royal Melbourne Hospital spokesperson told The Indy Wednesday evening.
The Indy understands detectives will wait until the man’s condition improves further before questioning him.
They urged anyone with information on the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
