Buckets and bouquets

BOUQUETS to Reece South Geelong’s Steve for helping me with leaking roof problems. Items needed were not available at South Geelong, so he brought them from elsewhere. He enabled me to stop further rain damage. Another supplier had no idea or the needed items.
Noxyde, Herne Hill

BOUQUETS to a man at Westfield Geelong for taking time out to help me pay for and retrieve my parking ticket, which I didn’t realise I had to have to leave the car park.
Very Grateful, Grovedale

BUCKETS to Angry Cyclist (Buckets & Bouquets, 13 February). Maybe it’s time to show cyclists some respect because they really don’t have much of a bike lane, anyway. Maybe you need to reconsider where you park.
Ellen, Newtown

BOUQUETS to Jack and Jill Restaurant for a wonderful Valentine’s Day evening. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. It was a great night.
Sunny Debs, East Geelong

BOUQUETS to Local Air’s Simon for fast, efficient and friendly service when our air-conditioner broke down in the heat. I am rapt to be able to say that good old-fashioned service is still available.
Nicci, Corio

BUCKETS to a store for delivering a rock-hard bed. I was told to wait for it to settle but it didn’t. I paid $150 for softer springs, then $80 for a mattress topper. The store wouldn’t help anymore. I complained to Consumer Affairs. The store still refuses to do anything.
Pam, Grovedale

BUCKETS to greyhound trainers who bait their dogs with poor, defenceless animals. I was horrified to watch a TV report this week documenting the disgusting practice of live-baiting. Someone should tie the trainers to the lure and do the same thing. They are the real animals.
Animal Lover, Highton

BOUQUETS to a dear lady who drove my husband home from Belmont after he inadvertently locked his keys in the boot of his car. Thank you so much for your kindness.
Joan, Highton
