13 local beauties through to Miss Universe Australia state final

THIRTEEN local beauties have won their way through a Geelong heat to the state finals of Miss Universe Australia.
Competitors faced off at North Geelong’s Sphinx Hotel on Saturday night, with the Geelong winners going on to the state event in Melbourne on 5 May.
The Geelong heat featured around 20 entrants competing in swimwear, eveningwear, and question and personality sections.
The Geelong winners were Tegan Stait, Jayne Duff, Alyssa Wilson, Kay Huang, Laura Boldiston, Marlo Walker, Jing Zheng, Sarah McLeod, Shian Mason, Amelia Dunn, Nas Wan, Sarah Lockwood and Charlotte Goirus.
The Spinx’s George Ramia was on the judging panel, with Sasha Burns, Jacinta Bolling and Deborah Miller.
Winners of the Victorian titles will go through to the Australian finals, with the winner then competing in American millionaire Donald Trump’s international Miss Universe.
