Have fun on the run

A Lara fun run with categories for children and adults being held next weekend, will raise money for local sports clubs fielding five or more entrants.
Lara Fun Run, which includes a walking category, will include 5km and 10km distances through Serendip Sanctuary for competitors aged from six to over 60. A ‘Kids Dash’ will also be on the schedule.
The run and walk next weekend will be staged at Pirra Homestead on 30 October, with organisers expecting to attract almost 1000 participants.
Competitor Ondrea Duncan described the fun run as a “great, enjoyable and family friendly event, ranging from having elite level timing gates for serious athletes, to juice vans and magicians”.
The organiser, PB Events, said the run would donate $10 for each junior to clubs with at least five juniors registered for the event.
PB Events described itself as a not-for-profit body organising sports events to raise money for local charities.
The company plans another run along the Barwon River in Geelong during February to support charity River’s Gift.
Registrations for Lara Fun Run, with the lure of prizes, are open at pbevents.com.au.
