Bingo ‘bogans’ are doing it for charity

THERE’S a bit of bogan in us all and some canny staff at the TAC have tapped into the classic Aussie sub-culture to do some good.
The crew of the TAC’s Rowed Safety rowing crew are hosting a Bogan Bingo night to raise funds for Give Where You Live.
Buoyed by their success in winning the C grade final at the charity’s Riverfest event recently, the crew aims to raise more than $1000.
“It will be a grouse chance to channel your inner-bogan,” organiser Sharon McArthur laughed.
Mullets, muscle tops and acid wash jeans will be all the rage at the event at Grovedale Community Centre from 7.30pm on October 26.
“The dress code is feral with prizes for best dressed so youse should all practise your air guitar and go nuts,” Sharon said.
Tickets are available by phoning 0404 282 256 or 0409 801 023.
