AUSTRALIA’S largest Christmas gift appeal has launched in Geelong with an appeal for donations.
A spokesperson for the 2011 Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal said this year’s drive aimed to gather more than 475,000 gifts for needy Australians.
Appeal donors could place gifts under “Christmas Wishing Trees” in Kmart’s Geelong stores, the spokesperson said.
Donors could take gift tags from the trees to nominate the age and gender of gift intended recipients.
