ABOUT 200 jobs are still up for grabs as the Transport Accident Commission prepares to move into its new Geelong office building, according to a spokesperson.
TAC chief operating officer Geelong Andrew Boag said jobs were still unfilled in fields such as allied health, paramedical, insurance and claims management.
“The claims area includes roles such as rehabilitation coordinators, support coordinators, claims managers, claims advisors and customer service officers,” he said.
“We also have legal, health, finance, IT, marketing and communications, human resources and administration positions.”
Mr Boag said the TAC had recruited about 54 per cent of its new employees for the Geelong office from the region.
The Government estimated the TAC move would generate 850 jobs in Geelong and inject $59 million a year into the city’s economy.
Mr Boag said the TAC would move into the new multi-storey premises on the site of Geelong’s former bowtruss building in Brougham Street in January.
