A GEELONG nightclub’s directive for “feral girls” to stay away has earned the backing of the city’s nightlife association president.
Darren Holroyd said Room 99’s order reflected increasing violence among young women at licensed venues in central Geelong.
“The rest of nightlife association is already taking action with ban lists in conjunction with police and even the courts, which are imposing six and 12-month CBD bans.
“All this is what we’ve wanted for a long time.”
The Independent reported earlier this month that Room 99 would ban “feral girls” for six months after a spate of violent incidents.
Director Ines Perovic said a particularly large brawl at the venue on the eve of Australia Day was the final straw.
