LEOPOLD’S Christine Simons and two-year-old daughter Laney are pictured amid a snow flurry in central Geelong on Wednesday.
The duo enjoyed a brief winter wonderland near the intersection of Little Malop and Moorabool streets as Central Geelong Marketing turned on snow machines as part of activities to attract Christmas shoppers.
A Central Geelong spokesperson said the forecast was for more 15-minute flurries at 11am and 1pm each day until December 24.
The “realistic” snow evaporated within 90 seconds, the spokesperson said.
“It leaves no messy residue, is odourless, non-allergenic, non-slippery and will not stain.”
