A cyclist has died after colliding with a truck in Geelong this morning.
Police believe the man, aged in his 40s, was riding along Ryrie Street about 8.10am when he collided with the truck as he attempted to move across the road.
The driver of the truck, a 58-year-old Portarlington man, stopped immediately to render assistance.
An ambulance took the cyclist to Geelong Hospital with life threatening injuries but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police blocked off Ryrie Street from Moorabool Street to Yarra Street as they investigated the crash site.
They were speaking to a number of people who witnessed the collision.
