Anglesea Music Festival confirms headliners

ORGANISERS are planning an epic Anglesea Music Festival hitting the stage on Australia Day weekend next year.
The full day and night summer festival will feature headliners Dale Ryder of Boom Crash Opera and Taxiride’s Jason Singh.
The two powerhouse singers have joined forces and are now performing as The Voices Of, backed by Australia’s best musicians, organisers say.
Each take the stage to perform their band’s biggest hit songs covering three decades of home-grown hits packed into one electric live show
Between them Ryder and Singh as the voices of two of Australia’s most successful bands have enjoyed numerous top 40 hits, top 10 singles, multi-platinum number one albums, ARIA Awards and sold out live shows.
Organisers say the festival has exciting new initiatives planned to celebrate the best of the iconic and vibrant Surf Coast.
Applications are now open for performers, artists, Internships, stall holders and local businesses to get involved.
The Best Foot Forward auditions are targeted to up and coming bands, duos or solo acts between 15 and 24 years old.
Emerging young artists can showcase their talents and battle it out in front of a friendly panel of industry artists and mentors to be selected to showcase new talent at the festival.
Auditions will be held at Oxygen College on 24 October and 14 November and registrations are open on line.
The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Art Project and Awards are also open, offering great prizes around the theme of reducing landfill.
Professional artists and local art groups are invited to participate in the project focusing on the design and creation of sculptures using reused and recycled objects on display throughout the festival.
Regionals artists can also lodge proposals of other participatory events such as running workshops or demonstrations within the festival space.
An internship program offering eight people the opportunity to work closely with the festival production team and gain valuable industry experience is also available, in conjunction with Oxygen College.
