Two elderly men have died in one week from seperate crashes at Belmont, with latest death occuring after a two-car collision earlier this month.
A Holden Calais, with four people on board including the driver, was travelling east along Breakwater Road, about 3pm on 1 August.
The driver of the Calais, a 27-year-old Thomson man, lost control of his car and collided with a guard rail, police said.
Police said the vehicle then spun onto the other side of the road and collided with a blue Hyundai.
An 85-year-old Belmont man was the only occupant of the Hyundai and was taken to hospital where he died on Sunday morning.
