AUSTRALIAN Industry Group has re-established a presence in Geelong, the lobbyist has announced.
The organisation has appointed Pam Mansfield as membership relationship executive for the area.
Victorian director Tim Piper said Ms Mansfield would work to ensure the voice of Geelong business was heard at all levels of government.
“Pam will be working with business to help them meet the challenges facing the area, including the carbon tax, the high Australian dollar and skills shortages.”
Mr Piper said Ms Mansfield would work closely with Geelong Manufacturing Council, City Hall’s Economic Development Unit, Geelong Export Network and Industry Capability Network.
Ms Mansfield said AI Group planned a series of Geelong events including a member briefing session at the end of the month on latest workplace regulations, carbon pricing and other issues with Geelong implications.
