A BREAK-IN and theft at Newcomb’s Caravans ‘R’ Us last weekend has prompted Geelong Police to appeal for information.
Geelong Detective Senior Constable Steve Thompson said thieves broke into 10 caravans at the Bellarine Hwy business.
The offenders stole from the caravans items including a hot water service, an LCD television, a stereo and a water distributor.
Det Sen Const Thompson said police believed the offenders gained entry into the premises from Bellarine Rail Trail between 3.30pm Saturday and 11am Sunday.
“We’re hoping CCTV for the premises and any surrounding yards might assist our investigation.
“At this stage, the value (of the items stolen) is unknown.”
Det Sen Const Thompson urged anyone with information to phone Geelong Police on 5225 3100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
