Buckets and bouquets

BOUQUETS to a young man who works at Safeway Drysdale, sometimes at a checkout or bringing in trolleys. He is always polite and never too busy to help customers. He is a special young man. I give him the wow factor and five stars.
Janice, Indented Head

BUCKETS to the former Geelong cement works. What and how long will it take before the property on McCurdy’s Rd is changed? It is dangerous and a huge eyesore. It could be used for public housing.
James, Geelong

BOUQUETS to an eye surgeon and the wonderful staff at Greta Volum Centre for a very good job on fixing my eye.
Robert, Corio

BOUQUETS to a pair of kind people who brought us a cup of tea each and some Anzac biscuits when we were selling RSL badges outside Coles Belmont.
Barry and Glenys, Belmont

BUCKETS to a trader in Ocean Grove’s main street for ignoring my wife when she was the only customer in his shop last Friday. Luckily, another outlet was available elsewhere. If you’re too stupid to offer decent customer service and manners your business will wither and die, as it deserves.
Moz, Ocean Grove

BOUQUETS to City of Greater Geelong and Simone for helpful and prompt service when I phoned to report that a couch and mattress had been dumped on the nature strip outside my house. The eyesores had been collected by the next evening.
Suzy, Lara

BUCKETS to the person who had a go at Labor snubbing our ridiculous mayor (Buckets & Bouquets, 8 May). Perhaps the good people of Labor actually invited him to attend but he childishly rejected the invitation because he dislikes anything Labor and had a whinge instead. Not everyone voted for him.
Ellen, Newtown

BOUQUETS to Newcomb Secondary College concert band’s talented students and two dedicated band leaders for their excellent performance during the Ocean Grove Anzac centenary service.
Taylor’s Proud Nan, Newcomb
