Christmas tree takes shape

GEELONG’S controversial waterfront Christmas tree is coming along nicely, says mayor Darryn Lyons.

The $320,000 tree, revealed in this week’s Independent, is taking  shape and looks poised to be transported from a northern port location to Geelong’s CBD.

Cr Lyons posted a new image of the completed tree to Facebook today, commenting: ”
