A-league prices Victory for families

TICKETS to Melbourne Victory’s first home game at Simonds Stadium in January will be cheaper for families than admission to Cats matches in 2014, according to pricing released this week.
Victory will play Perth Glory under lights on 2 January, with family general admission for $40 compared to $53.50 for standing non-member families at Cats games this year.
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday for Victory members and on Wednesday for the general public at ticketek.com.au, with some discounts available for early purchases.
Geelong Mayor Darryn Lyons said the city was “thrilled” to host the A-league ladder leaders.
“This is the first time that any national sporting franchise, aside from the Cats, will hold regular home and away games at Simonds Stadium. It’s huge for Geelong, so I’d love to see a big turnout for their first home game on 2 January.
“Hopefully it will be a nice, balmy night to sit in the stands and watch A-league soccer under lights right here in Geelong.”
Melbourne Victory has committed to one home game at Simonds Stadium annually for the next three years.
