A BRILLANT mix of Australian natives and hardy blooms will be the focus at an Anglesea open garden later this month.
Complementing a modern home and framing wonderful sea views, the Lewis garden at 2 Bronwyn Court is an inspiring contemporary garden of native and exotic plants and will be open for public viewing over the Australia Day long weekend.
The front garden is a mixture of healthy indigenous and native plantings, including different lomandras and kangaroo paws.
Lavender hedging flows into a row of buddleias now covered in mauve bloom across the back garden. A mixture of old-fashioned and modern roses contribute to the mauve, pink and white floral palette. A wisteria provides shade, while an espaliered olive adds to the silvery grey foliage.
The Lewis garden will be open between 10am and 4.30pm on Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24. Entry is $6. Children under 18 admitted free.
