AN INDECENT assault on a Geelong train has sent police hunting a man with a “strong accent”.
Police alleged he sat next to the young female victim after boarding at Southern Cross Station about 2.30pm on 26 July, police said.
“He then allegedly touched the woman inappropriately and tried to stop her from moving away.
“The man got off the train at North Geelong station and was last seen getting into a car parked at the station.”
Police said the man appeared to be sub-continental, about 183cm tall, in his late 20s to early 30s, with a slim build, facial hair and a strong accent.
Police released a security camera image of a man they want to question over the alleged assault.
