NORTHERN Geelong’s iconic Waterworld site is set for a makeover after securing state funding, MP David Koch has announced.
The Liberal Member for Western Victoria said the money would help pay for planning to develop a new multi-purpose centre on the Melbourne Rd site.
The project would improve provision of existing social services available on the site while also giving the landmark a makeover.
Mr Koch said Waterworld had been “looking a bit tired of late”, he said.
Ward councilor Kylie Fisher welcomed the funding as “fantastic news for locals”.
