Police arrest man over Bell Post Hill fatal shooting

By ALANA MITCHELSON

A dramatic police raid has led to the arrest of a man wanted over an alleged fatal shooting in Bell Post Hill.
Police arrested a 22-year-old yesterday on the same road where Norlane’s Paul Cochrane, 36, died on Tuesday.
Heavily armed Special Operations Group police stormed an address on Anakie Rd yesterday afternoon before Homicide Squad detectives arrested the Lovely Banks man.
Victoria Police said he was “currently assisting police with their enquiries”.
The man is due to front court today.
Mr Cochrane had spent time in prison for a variety of offences including violence, drugs and robbery crimes.
