Double Take

Morning radio host Matt Tilley has clearly seen the signs in Geelong.
Or maybe that should be ‘sign’ singular, judging by a post on his Twitter account this week.
The broadcaster sent out an image of an overly officious parking sign (pictured), which really needed just one time advisory rather than the three all giving the same information.
“Thanks Geelong, you’ve given me my favourite sign ever,“ he tweeted with shot.
You’re welcome, Matt, since you obviously parked outside 9am to 5.30pm – in either direction on any day!

Twitter was also busy this week with local posts to mark International Women’s Day on Tuesday.
The 140-character limit kept all brief, of course, although many still tried to strike a strike a reverential tone.
All except Jason Trethowan, who heads up the Western Victorian Primary Health Network of local GPs and other health professionals. Double Take liked his blunt yet heartfelt tribute.
“I’d be completely stuffed personally and professionally without all the good women around me,“ he tweeted.
Well spoken for all Aussie blokes, thanks Jason.
