Top Cat’s hair raising effort

Heads will be on the line this weekend as the region raises money to fight leukaemia. Residents will cut, colour or wax their hair during the four-day event to raise money for Leukaemia Foundation’s 12th annual World’s Greatest Shave for a Cure.
Hamlyn Heights’ Lauren Crouch has vowed to shave off her curly locks in an attempt to raise $5000.
Cats star James Kelly has promised to provide moral support to Lauren as she goes under the clippers at Geelong Football Club on Saturday.
Leukaemia Foundation spokesperson Catalina Filip said she expected donations to reach $2.5 million for Victoria this year and $13 million nationally.
She said more information was available by phoning 1800 500 008 or visiting www.worldsgreatestshave.com.
