Free seminars to foster excellence

The Geelong Indy will host free marketing seminars next month to celebrate the paper’s Geelong Business Awards sponsorship.
Each 50-minute seminar on 19 June will provide participants with expert advice and ideas on achieving success.
“The Geelong Indy Business Excellence Seminar is not to be missed for anyone serious about achieving ongoing revenue growth,” says the Indy’s managing editor, Tony Galpin.
“We’re bringing down a nationally recognised guest speaker with a passion for helping small business. His presentation is excellent – and the Indy’s putting it on for free.”
The seminar will run several times on the day, offering various attendance-time options for the convenience of participants.
“We’ll soon send out invitations but we also encourage businesses to reserve a place by phoning the Indy office on 5249 6700,” Mr Galpin says.
The Indy agreed earlier this year to sponsor its first Geelong Business Excellence Awards.
The organisers have since announced a tripling of nominees on the back of the Indy’s extensive print and online coverage.
The Indy is rapt to support the awards, Mr Galpin says.
“We have a lot in common: we’re both 31 years old this year, with a history of supporting local small businesses.
“The Indy enjoys helping the awards shine a positive light on the best operators in the Geelong region.
“We look forward to helping make this year’s awards the best ever.”
The family-owned Indy is the region’s highest-circulating community newspaper, covering Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast.
The paper has an active news website at geelongindy.com.au, including a weekly E-paper with free email alert subscriptions. Readers can also follow the Indy on Facebook and Twitter.
