Geelong’s two Jaffle Jaffle stores have collapsed into voluntary administration, with the flagship Westfield Geelong store already ceasing operations.
Gideon Rathner from Lowe Lippmann was appointed as administrator in late January for Jaffle Jaffle Group Pty Ltd.
Jaffle Jaffle also operated a store at Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre and in Collins Street in Melbourne’s CBD.
The chain was founded in 2014, selling a range of gourmet toasted sandwiches.
Its menu included the egg, bacon, cheese, spinach and relish Wakey Wakey and Grand Toastie with virginia ham, cheddar cheese and roma tomatoes.
SmartCompany reported that employees at Jaffle Jaffle’s Melbourne store were told the store would cease operating on Wednesday.
Jaffle Jaffle’s website and social media accounts were still online on Wednesday morning but had not been updated for two weeks.
Director Clayton Thompson founded the successful Spud Bar food chain more than 10 years ago.
