Direct from Edinburgh, the world-famous Pipes and Drums of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards will march into Geelong on Sunday as part of its Australian tour.
Fresh from Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday celebrations, the award-winning band will play in full ceremonial uniform at Costa Hall.
The performance will include the band’s popular performances of Amazing Grace, Going Home, Highland Cathedral and more.
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards feature every year in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which has a worldwide television audience of 45 million people.
It has won fame for its music and drill.
It took home a Classical Brit Award in 2008 for best album Spirit Of The Glen: Journey which was partly recorded while on operations in Iraq in 2008.
In 1972 the band garnered number one in music charts for five weeks with Amazing Grace, selling more than 7 million copies worldwide.
In 1987 it came fifth at the British Championships, fourth at the European Championships and 10th place at the World Championships.
