Westpac’s in support role for Geelong Business Excellence Awards

Westpac Bank is a proud supporter of the Deakin University Geelong Business Excellence Awards 2018.
As Regional General Manager of Westpac Commercial Bank Tony Harman explained, Westpac is honoured to be able to celebrate the local business community.
“As a local Geelong resident, I get to see and work with some fantastic local businesses; I am also privileged to be able to call many of them customers,” Tony said.
“It’s a great honour to be involved with the Business Excellence Awards and play our part in helping to celebrate the local business community, recognising their achievements and talent and the important part they play in supporting our local economy.
“We’d like to wish all nominees good luck in their categories. I would also like to put a call out for nominations and entries to our 2018 Businesses of Tomorrow program – the program is designed to reward and recognise businesses with the drive to shape Australia’s future. The business can be any size from large to small, new to established and from any industry – it would be great to see some of our Geelong businesses as part of this program”.
As a well-established bank, Tony explained that Westpac “put service at the heart of everything they do.”
“We have a proud history of stepping up to be first for our customers, communities and people,” he said.
“From rescue helicopters to signing the Equator Principles, from adding biometric technology to our banking apps and being first on the scene with a helping hand in times of crisis.”
