Big show, small wonders

By JOHN VAN KLAVEREN

THE ancient and mysterious Oriental art of the bonsai will be revealed with a show featuring more than 100 of the miniature trees in Geelong this weekend.
Bonsai experts will run demonstrations on the fascinating process behind the craft, with tips and advice for prospective growers.
Geelong Bonsai Club president Paul Buttigieg said the show would include a “well-stocked” trading table of trained and semi-trained and nursery stock, along with pots, tools, wire and books.
Geelong Bonsai Show will be open from 9am Saturday and Sunday at Geelong Masonic Centre, Regent St, Belmont.
Mr Buttigieg said more information was available by phoning 5221 2896.
