‘Secret weapons’

ORGANISERS have promised a “hive of activity” at this weekend’s first Anglesea Music Festival.
Festival director Karren Stoneham said headline acts Shane Howard, Chris Wilson, Tiffany Eckhardt, Wendy Stapleton and Lisa Edwards would “draw a crowd” but the festival had a secret weapon.
“I think the grassroots performers who nobody knows will really hit home. They’ll be out there to promote themselves. They’re the unknown.”
Ms Stoneham believed organisers “had the formula right”.
“ I think people will come back because of that reason. I know we’re going to learn a lot along the way but, hey, it’s our first festival and we’ll grow with that.”
Ms Stoneham said the festival would feature 90 performers over three days.
