Geelong snow travellers set for TAC freebies

GEELONG snow bunnies heading up to Mt Buller this weekend are in for a mountain of freebies and a free breath test, thanks to a Transport Accident Commission program promoting safe snow driving.

Anyone calling into the TAC’s bright orange Vanessa Bute ute at the Horse Hill car park could even find themselves skiing for free, with daily lift passes among the prizes and giveaways on offer.

Other freebies include lip balm, Keep-Cups and stickers. Entrants in a Vanessa Facebook competition www.facebook.com/ilikevanessa could also win one of 500 personalised snow domes.

TAC road safety manager Liz Waller said Vanessa was at Buller to promote safe alpine driving among younger drivers for a fourth consecutive winter.

“Vanessa is a regular sight at music festivals and other events where young people like to have fun, so we see Buller as a perfect fit, especially this year with such great snow conditions on the mountain,” Ms Waller said.
