Colac man dies in Birregurra smash

A MAN died in a crash between Winchelsea and Colac late yesterday.
Police said the van he was sole occupant in veered off the Princes Highway at Biregurra about 4pm.
The vehicle rolled down an embankment and hit a tree. The driver, a 42-year-old Colac man, died at the scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Provisional Road toll: 2015 — 137; 2014 — 130.
