LOCAL apprentices Jake Barton and Luke Diaz are headed to the United Kingdom to beef up their already considerable skills.
The pair of mechatronics geniuses won gold in the WorldSkills National Competition in Perth last year representing the Gordon.
As part of their prize they get to spend two weeks in a leadership development course followed by four weeks of UK work experience.
The trip will enhance their career prospects and provide them with invaluable international experience in their respective trades and skills.
