Bouquets to Stainbusters’ Rees Cruickshank for an amazing job on my couches. Other operators had told us they would be impossible to clean. Now I don’t need to buy new furniture because the couches are good as new again.
Sue Gook, Torquay
Buckets to a truck driver who showed disrespect for the Anzac Day dawn service at Ocean Grove. He shone his headlights full-beam on the cenotaph while the service was underway. Then he backed up to complete his work, with reversing beeps and yellow flashing lights further disrupting the event.
Vicki, Ocean Grove
Bouquets to Our Women Our Children volunteers for organising a wonderful Easter egg hunt on 20 April at Bellarine Estate Winery. Even better, all money raised went toward the purchase of a paediatric medical imaging trolley for children admitted to Geelong Hospital. Well done to a terrific group of volunteers.
Amanda, Highton
Buckets to the Geelong saleyard operators and onlookers who failed to help a dying sheep (Letters, 2 May). I cried when I read about this poor animal’s awful death. Buckets to carnivores for putting poor animals in such terrible predicaments in the first place.
Animal Lover, Belmont
Buckets to a Geelong store for selling an expensive product that began malfunctioning just a couple of weeks later. The explanation was that it was the manufacturer’s fault, not the store’s. I didn’t buy it from the manufacturer. So much for after-sales service.
Bad Service, Leopold
Bouquets to the person who left my purse on my doorstep after I lost it at the shops. Obviously the person was able to find my address on my licence, which was inside the purse. While this was welcome, it also highlighted the danger of losing items containing personal information.
Careless Shopper, Newcomb
Buckets to Suffered In Silence (Buckets & Bouquets, 2 May). The only reason my elderly husband breathed “loudly and firmly” behind you is that he has heart problems. You’re kidding yourself if you think it was for any other reason, lady. Show some compassion.
Offended Wife, Waurn Ponds
