GEELONG garbage collections will return to normal after Cleanaway drivers ended their week-long industrial action, City Hall has announced.
Usual collection will resume on Monday but the City has advised households with uncollected green waste bins to put them out tonight for weekend collection.
The City said the drivers decided yesterday to call off the action.
More information about the resumption of collections is available on the city’s website, geelongaustralia.com.au, or by phoning 5272 5272 during business hours.
“The City of Greater Geelong thanks all residents for their patience and cooperation this past week and thanks the Cleanaway drivers for working this Saturday to clear the backlog,” said city services general manager William Tieppo.
