COLES Geelong West has created 20 jobs with its new-look market-style supermarket.
Store manager Todd Morgan said the revamped store had 120 staff since officially reopening on Wednesday.
The market-style layout included a redesigned fresh produce section, new bakery and butcher departments, a slice-on-request meat service and six self-service checkouts.
The changes to the previous supermarket were in response to “our customers’ needs and feedback”, Mr Morgan said.
“We’re providing our customers with the quality products and delicious fresh produce they want.”
Mr Morgan said Coles would celebrate the opening with a barbecue and a competition with $500 in Coles gift cards from 10am Saturday.
Coles is also giving away gift cards through the Independent as part of the reopening.
