ERIN PEARSON
TRIPLE premiership player Cameron Ling said goodbye to the club he has loved all his life this week, announcing his retirement after months of deliberation.
Ling struggled to hold back tears as he reflected on his 12 years with the reigning championship side.
The 246-game veteran praised teammates and paid homage to former coach Bomber Thompson for helping him reach his “dreams”.
“I’ve had 12 years at the club and I’ve loved every single moment. It’s the club I barracked for as a kid and to play for them has been a dream come true.
“Thank you to the boys, the players I’ve played with for 12 years. It’s been magical to come to work to hang out with my best mates.
“The thing I’m going to miss the most is the boys.”
