Geelong’s so-called ‘Irish pyramid’ cuts a stark grey figure against the winter sky in Little Malop Street.
The State Government Offices, opposite Johnstone Park and the rapidly-developing new library/heritage centre, is a brutalist cantilevered concrete structure constructed in the 1970s to a design by Geelong architects Buchan Laird & Bawden.
