Management evacuated the shopping centre after a suspicious fire at a business on Bacchus Marsh Road, about 9am, a Police Victoria spokesperson said.
Police arrested a 35-year-old Lara man at the scene shortly after. The man remained in custody and was assisting police with their inquiries Monday afternoon.
