Sanity prevails in local search for customer serivce

By Editorial

SOURCING unstocked products when competitors had thrown in the towel has earned Sanity Westfield Geelong a loyal customer.
In fact, St Leonards’ John Reid was so impressed he nominated the store for the Independent’s monthly Shop Local Geelong Customer Service Award.
“Their persistence and professionalism in locating hard-to-find DVDs for me has been outstanding,” Mr Reid wrote in his nomination entry.
“They succeeded in finding what I wanted – other shops had given up.”
Manager Rebekah Cotterill was thrilled to win the award for August.
“I’m so excited and so proud of everybody who works here,” she said.
“This is what we strive to deliver with customer service; to give the best experience we can offer.”
The award is part of the Independent’s Shop Local Geelong campaign to encourage shopping locally rather than online or out of town.
Geelong’s council and chamber of commerce are supporters of Shop Local.
Nominations, including the writer’s name, address and phone number, must say in 50 words or less whey a store deserves to win.
Send entries to: Shop Local Customer Service Award, PO Box 407, Geelong, 3220; email editorial@geelongindependent.com.au; or fax 5249 6799.
