Call to swing behind golf fundraiser

Entries have opened for the Independent’s 15th annual McKellar Centre Charity Golf Day.
McKellar Centre’s Kerry O’Sullivan said this year’s event would help the Barwon Health facility buy equipment for the centre’s hydrotherapy pool.
“About 150 people go through the pool each day, including residents and outpatients, so it’s important we keep on top of things,” Mr O’Sullivan said.
The golf day has raised more than $340,000 over the past 14 years for the region’s largest aged care and rehabilitation centre.
Mr O’Sullivan encouraged sponsors and golfers of all standards to get behind the event.
“It’s a really good day and everybody has a lot of fun.”
The ambrose golf day begins 8am on March 19 before lunch and a fundraising auction at 13th Beach Golf Links.
Entry costs $125.
Mr O’Sullivan asked anyone wanting to enter or sponsor the event to contact the McKellar Centre on 5279 2222, email kerryo@barwonhealth.org.au or Welshkline’s Amanda Welsh on 5229 5900 or email amanda.welsh@welshkline.com.au.
