Diana’s Taylor-made for business

Geelong businesswoman Diana Taylor has made the finals of the Telstra Business Woman of the Year awards in the private and corporate category.
The lawyer and executive director of a local consultancy firm was honoured to make the finals.
“I’m so proud to represent Geelong to the rest of Australia,” she said.
Ms Taylor serves as chair of Anam Cara House Geelong, a palliative care hospice, and is a director at the Geelong Football Club.
She said a highlight of being a finalist was seeing the spotlight “shine on our region and the wonderful organisations I’m involved with.”
Ms Taylor’s managing director Michael Courtney and Cats CEO Brian Cook both sang her praises.
“Diana is highly respected by our chairman Jeff Kennett along with her fellow directors, staff and associates,” Mr Courtney said.
“She has led the diversification of our group and is tireless in building the brand.”
Mr Cook added Ms Tayor had a sharp intellect and had been a mentor to young managers.
“She is a fantastic role model in terms of her values and ethics, and has been a driving force behind a successful period for our club.”
Prominent Geelong businessman Frank Costa has followed Ms Taylor’s career and was overjoyed at the news.
“I have known Diana for many years, and she has proved her credentials as a Regional business leader,” Mr Costa said.
“Diana’s confirmation as a finalist recognises her important role across Geelong’s business, community and AFL industries.”
Ms Taylor is executive director of CT Management Group, a Geelong-based consultancy company.
Telstra will announce the winners at a gala dinner in Melbourne on 18 October.
