POLICE are searching for a man they believe jumped into the Barwon river from the James Harrison Bridge.
Geelong police sighted the man at the edge of the Princes Highway bridge as they were driving past about 6.40pm last night.
The police performed a U-turn but when they returned the man had disappeared.
Police believe he entered the river but have been unable to locate him.
Airwing and water police have been involved in the search for the unknown man.
